Grade 11 Tourism Tour

GLA Grade 11 Tourism Tour
On Thursday, 26 April 2012, twelve Grade 11 scholars from Global Leadership Academy left on yet another Tourism tour. This time of the Garden Route and R62.
Walking across the Storms River bridge was as daunting as ever and overnighting at the Tsitsikamma Forest Village gave them just enough time to decide whether they wanted to bungee at Bloukrans or not. Next God gave them a perfect day and they spent four hours of fun in the sun and water at Adventure Land. The day came to an end with some real French Hot Chocolate at the La Carla Mask Atelier on the N2.
Other activities during the tour included the popular Sedgefield Wild Oats market as well as The Garden of Eden and the Wolf Sanctuary. They also rock and rolled with Southern Comfort's Zorbing and quad bike activities. On the way to Calitzdorp Spa for a swim in the hot springs they stopped at George to see The Avengers in 3D and got their 'driving licenses' at the Safari Ostrich farm in Oudtshoorn.
The tour showed them a different side of this popular route. They felt like real tourists in their own country while also able to spend time with good friends.
