Athletics Highlights

GLA's athletes held their school's name high at the Cacadu District Athletics that took place this past Saturday 23 February. Five of our six athletes got places in their individual items.

Jurgen Jonker got a first place in both the 100m hurdles and 300m hurdles boys under 15. Well done Jurgen!! Annabelle Hift came fourth in the 800m girls under 15. Brooke Willis came third in both her items, shot put girls under 15 and and 90m hurdles girls under 15. Raven Fourie came third in the 400m hurdles boys under 17 and Kallie Douglas came third in his item, shot put boys under 17. Melissa Ferreira came second in the 400m hurdles girls under 19. Well done Melissa!
