The invitation to family is one that calls you to community and belonging.
Our “why statement” is one of the foundations of our familial perspective. It reads as follows: “We are passionate and determined to see every child at Global Leadership Academy discover and realize their God given potential.”
Teaching while embracing this “why statement” inspires and motivates us through tough times. It also underpins and gives direction to everything we do as teachers and mentors.
Over the past few years, God has allowed the formation, among us, of a culture of excellence, diligence and faith. As protector of this culture, I encourage learners, parents and teachers to embrace the following sayings.
“God Seeking Lifestyle” - The Word of God, faith, prayer and the Holy Spirit are central to our lives.
“Vorentoe, net nie agtertoe nie” - This saying strongly motivates us to do better and build on the success of the past. Its English translation reads; “Forwards not backwards.”
"We do things differently" - Being different implies that we will approach all our endeavours creatively, seeking the highest standard of education through innovation. We set very high standards for ourselves as an organisation.
In March 2010 we received the following prophecy for regarding Global Leadership Academy:
“For I am going to build something that will be a model, a light set on a hill. It will be a model for many others to come and look at and draw from. As they begin to see light shed and changes take place, politicians will come, many people will come from near and far to inquire of you. You will see the hope I placed within you carried throughout this nation and to other nations around you. You are at a key place in history. It is a defining moment. You will form leaders, world leaders, and leaders of nations, leaders of cities and towns. I have called you to raise up apostles, prophets, evangelist, pastors and teachers and in turn they will begin to teach others and bring people into unity. Don’t take lightly what you are doing on my behalf. I embrace what you have become and what you have begun. I will finish it.” says the Lord.”
Over the past few years, much of this prophecy has already been fulfilled.
